We are full-service commercial construction project managers, land developers, and
leaders in the conversation about better healthcare for the central Vancouver Island
community in British Columbia. From Campbell River to Victoria, we develop, build,
and renovate commercial properties with a special focus on medical and dental
spaces and healthcare infrastructure. With every project we manage, we build on our
legacy of caring for our community.
Over the decades our team has built schools, award-winning private residences, hotels, a resort, restaurants, retail spaces, social housing projects, industrial buildings, and a rapidly expanding portfolio of medical and dental spaces that attract healthcare professionals to the community. Better spaces mean better outcomes for patients—that’s why our team is committed to excellence and innovation in the industry. But we do more than build the places where our doctors, dentists, and specialists work—we connect them with the community and serve as their voice in larger conversations with partners in healthcare.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Bob Wall founded R.W. (Bob Wall) Ltd. in 1986. He partnered with his daughter Donna Hais in 1991 to help grow the company’s land development division. Three years later, they invested in their first property as a land developer and started building medical spaces. Since then, they have grown the company into one of Vancouver Island’s most recognizable names in the commercial development and construction industry, and have become prominent advocates for improved healthcare standards in the region

Through our healthcare advocacy work and deep understanding of the kinds of buildings and infrastructure medical/dental professionals need to best serve their patients, we’re building on our mission to make Vancouver Island a better place to live in any way we can. We have spent the last two decades leading the conversation to improve healthcare for residents North of the Malahat, bringing the region’s medical professionals together with provincial, municipal, First Nations, and community partners to create a healthcare ecosystem
In the early 60s, Donna Hais’s grandfather, Marvin Wall, moved to Nanaimo to oversee the construction of the original Nanaimo Regional General Hospital tower. Today, the Wall family legacy has come full circle. Through our land acquisition and development company, Canadian Cache Development Corporation, we are reinvesting in the
community by creating a hospital campus with a full comprehensive master plan for the future. It’s one more way that we are working tirelessly to advocate for improved access to healthcare in our community.

Chemainus Theatre
“In 2003 when the Chemainus Theatre Board required a job done with utmost attention, care, integrity, financial responsibility and quality, we all thought we were asking more than any one can hope for. We had the faith and trust, however, to assign this contract to R.W. (Bob) Wall Ltd. “
Joanne Harding, Chairman, Chemainus Theatre Board
Salvation Army
“R.W. (Bob) Wall Ltd. has constructed a multi service centre for the homeless including the renovation to an existing social services centre in Nanaimo BC for the Salvation Army on a construction management arrangement. As one of the Salvation Army’s national project managers I can, without hesitation, recommend R.W. (Bob) Wall Ltd. for a building program similar to our own.
